This is the third puzzle from the series called “The Countries of the World”.
You can see one of the best-known symbols of Russia, St Basil’s Cathedral, or Pokrovsky Cathedral. It is situated in the centre of Moscow in Red Square. Pokrovsky Cathedral was built from 1555-1561 on orders from Ivan the Terrible. First, the main part of the cathedral was built of wood. It was reconstructed several times because of fires. Then, in the 20th century, Pokrovsky cathedral became the division of the State Historical Museum. Despite the permanent restoration works which have been held in the cathedral for one hundred years, the museum is always open for visitors. It has been closed only once. It was during the World War II.
In this game, as in the puzzle “The Great Wall of China”, there are two levels of difficulty. In the first level the picture consists of 9 pieces. In the second level, which is more difficult, there are 16 pieces.
