This is the sixth puzzle of the series “The Countries of the World”.
Here we can see the famous tower, built by the French architect Eiffel in Paris in 1889. The most interesting fact is that it was built not only to decorate the city. It was erected as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair.
20 years later, when the radio and the telegraph appeared and started to develop quite fast, the Tower wasn’t dismantled. It was used as the broadcast antennae. It was the tallest building in the world till 1930. It was so until Chrysler Building in New York was built in 1930.
Nowadays we can say that this 300-meter-high Tower is the most popular sightseeing in the world.
